EIO16084 is an EtherCAT expansion module used for EtherCAT controllers, which can expand 16 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs, and 4 pulse axes. That is, when more IO and axes resources are needed, EIO16084 can help you.
After IO mapping and axis mapping, EIO16084 IO and axis resources can be checked and operated by controller directly through the mapping No.

  • Digital IO Expansion: 16 inputs + 8 outputs. And there are 2 IN and 2 OUT on each pulse axis.
    Axis Expansion: 4 pulse axes can be extended.
    Pulse Output Mode: directional/pulse or double pulse.
    The max output pulse frequency of each axis is 10MHz.
    The max output current of other outputs (except pulse axis) can reach 300mA, which can drive some solenoid valves directly.
  • Power Supply: DC 24V, the max range of voltage is 18V-36V, and the max power consumption is 10W.

    Communication Method: EtherCAT Bus Communication.

    Extended Axis: 4 local DB26 pulse axes.

    Extended IO: 16 digital inputs (+ 4 * 2 digital inputs, because each pulse axis has 2 INs) + 8 digital output (+ 4 * 2 pulse outputs, because each pulse axis has 2 OUTs)

     

    IO Start No. Configuration:

    IOs No. configuration of EIO series modules can be set by instruction: NODE_IO.

    Usage of NODE_IO: NODE_IO(slot,node)=iostart

    • slot: bus slot No. of motion controller, for EtherCAT, the default value is 0.

    • node: device No., starting from 0.

    • iostart: starting IO No., for one single device, it’s IN starting No. and OP starting No. are the same.

     

    Notes

    a.      IO starting No. can only be times of 8, such as 0,8,16,24 etc. If isostart is set as 30, then IO start number will be appointed as 24 compulsively.

    b.     If EIO16084 IO No. is set same as motion controller itself IO No., then both No. will take effect synchronously, which is not recommended.

    c.      Maximum IO No. of motion controller can be read through RTSys “controller state” window. Then, it can be set by NODE_IO command.
